Mrs Esther Lim is the Founder of LEAP SchoolHouse and the Curriculum Director of LEAP Education Group, which manages both LEAP SchoolHouse and LEAP KIDS Preschool.
Born and educated in Singapore, Esther holds a Master Degree in Education (NTU/NIE), Bachelor Degree in Arts (NTU) and a Diploma in Marketing – Top student for the year 2000 (Chartered Institute of Marketing). Esther has more than 17 years of teaching experience and has taught widely in both Secondary and Primary schools. Before starting LEAP, she was also involved in curriculum planning and development work for the primary unit at MOE for several years. During her time at MOE, Esther was also a Master Trainer with the Ministry of Education (MOE), having trained over 500 teachers annually at a national level, as well as overseas at the Singapore International School (Hong Kong).
When she’s not busy with curriculum work and staff training, Esther is also Mum to three primary school-aged children, Liv, Liz and Lloyd.
LEAP SchoolHouse was founded and managed by Mr Lincoln Lim and Mrs Esther Lim in 2009. The school which is located at City Square Mall started out as an Enrichment Centre catering weekly bilingual programmes for preschool children and babies.
The school gradually expanded its services to include a Weekday Kindergarten programme for children between 2 and 6 years. Eventually in 2016, by popular demand, LEAP SchoolHouse converted its Kindergarten programme into a full-day Preschool at a bigger unit within City Square Mall. And LEAP SchoolHouse continues to offer Enrichment Programmes for preschoolers and babies under the same branding.
To date, the couple manages and continues to grow the LEAP SchoolHouse brand as well as the LEAP KIDS Preschool brand through LEAP Education Group.
